photo of Todd Smith

Todd C. Smith received his bachelors degree in Fine Art from Amherst College in Massachusetts in 2003. During his education there he began his work on the theme of tree-climbing. Since college Todd lived for a brief period in the Northwest before returning to his hometown of Louisville, KY for an art residency at the Mary Anderson Center for the Arts in 2007. Now residing in Louisville, he has been an apprentice member of Zephyr Gallery, participated in various local group shows and also exhibited in Ohio. Todd climbed a tree everyday for over 3 years and documented the project with photography, video and writing on his blog: www.dailyclimb.org. He continues to explore this arboreal theme in various media.
